Do I need an appointment?

Yes, we recommend all patients make a scheduled appointment, limited walk-in-service is available, appointments assure a practitioner will be available for you.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes, you must have a prescription or referral indicating your diagnosis.

Will my insurance cover my care?

The majority of services provided are covered under health insurance, insurance benefits vary from plan to plan and our administrative staff will work with you and your insurance company to determine your coverage. There are some services that are not normally covered by insurance; foot orthotics, elastic supports, shoe modifications, our staff will inform you directly if something is not covered prior to service.

Do you bill my health insurance directly?

Yes whenever possible.  Rogerson Orthotics & Prosthetics contracts with the large majority of area health insurers and workers compensation carriers.

Will you come to my house?

In certain circumstances we are able to accommodate home bound patients however not all services or devices can be provided at home. For patients outside our immediate geographic area there is a onetime fee for home visits that is not reimbursable by insurance.

How long will my appointment take?

For an initial evaluation appointment for Orthotics services you should plan 1 hour and for prosthetics 2 hours. Follow up appointments are according to individual patient needs, your practitioner will provide you with specific details of your care plan.

How long will it take before my brace or prosthesis is ready?

Varied, depends on each individuals unique needs…

 

Orthotic Devices (braces or foot orthotics)

Some devices can be provided the same day, custom made devices are usually ready within 5-10 business days, custom fitted within 3-5 days.

 

Prosthetic Devices

All individual and depends on each person’s condition and ability. Our prosthetist and his assistant are always available to answer questions for you.
